Cristo Rey Jesuit loves its Corporate Work-Study Sponsors! The school recently showed its appreciation for the invaluable support of its sponsors with an exclusive luncheon at Union Station at Minute Maid Park. Special guest speaker Roger Staubach headlined the appreciation luncheon and regaled the room with insider stories from his ten years leading the Dallas Cowboys on and off the field. Mr. Staubach gave three lucky raffle winners the memory of a lifetime by throwing passes of autographed footballs into the cheering crowd.
Mr. Staubach is currently an executive at Jones Lang LaSalle and is passionate about the mission of Cristo Rey Jesuit:
“It’s not about color, it’s not about religion, it’s not about race – it’s about education and it’s about opportunity and Cristo Rey Jesuit is a phenomenal example to have students earn their way through school with internship opportunities. I’m really here to say thank you for what you are doing for a school that is making a difference in the lives of young human beings who are going to make a difference in other people’s lives because of you.”
This year students at Cristo Rey Jesuit will earn $3 Million through this innovative Corporate Work-Study Program, which covers nearly half of their college preparatory tuition. If you are interested in getting involved or learning more about this program, please contact our Director of Corporate Work-Study Program, Greg Meyers at firstname.lastname@example.org.
