A special Cristo Rey Jesuit student team recently completed a three day workshop that marked the kick-off of next year’s experimental design class that will send two experiments to the International Space Station (ISS).
Last October, two Cristo Rey Jesuit design experiments were on board when the rocket carrying them exploded. It was an experience in resilience for our students, some of whom get to be part of preparing the experiments again for a tentative December launch.
The effort, part of a program through NASA and CASIS ( Center for the Advancement in Science and Space) is a huge honor for our school. Team leaders Gregory Adragna and Peter Rispin joined the students for the training sessions here on campus, and at Texas A&M in College Station.
It is a rare and amazing learning opportunity for all of our Cristo Rey Jesuit students.
