CRJ Journalism Students Shadow Pros

The inaugural journalism class of Cristo Rey Jesuit College Preparatory School of Houston attended its first professional news conference last week.  The students, all seniors were present as five cameras representing six media outlets interviewed the school’s team of ten traveling to attend the Pope’s upcoming Meeting of Families in Philadelphia.

In preparation for shadowing and reporting on the Papal news conference, journalism students have spend the past weeks learning note taking, interviewing and story composition skills.
