Cristo Rey Jesuit College Preparatory School of Houston was prominently featured on a nationally syndicated program on October 11th.
Xploration Outer Space, which airs on FOX affiliates around the country, devoted a generous amount of time to the CRJ science team that lost two experiments aboard the Orb 3 last October.
The Cristo Rey Jesuit team had travelled to Virginia to watch its experiments launch to the International Space Station. The unmanned rocket exploded just seconds after takeoff.
The program showed that while damaged, the experiments were retrieved and more importantly, capture the spirit of the Cristo Rey Jesuit Science team and the leadership that oversaw the two experiments.
“This has been an amazing in dusting yourself off and starting over for the kids,” said science teacher Greg Adragna. “We are working with NASA and CASIS (Center for the Advancement of Science in Space) again to recreate our slime mold behavior experiment. So we have a chance to launch again!”
