Hundreds of students, family members, and faculty/staff gathered to celebrate the official beginning of the school year with the beautiful Mass of the Holy Spirit.
This is the eighth such ceremony at Cristo Rey Jesuit College Preparatory School of Houston. It’s significance is an important part of our school’s tradition.
“We do this to mark the welcoming of our ninth graders and the prayer for a blessed school year,” said Presider His Excellency, The Most Reverend Joseph A. Fiorenza D.D.
The Mass included special recognition of Father Mario Alberto Torres, S.J. in recognition of his 25 years as a Jesuit priest.
