New students were greeted with smiling faces and bambam noise makers during the first day of our two-week New Student Orientation. Students quickly got down to business learning how to prepare for their first corporate work-study program jobs — taking classes in everything from the basics (handshakes and how to tie a tie) to Excel and telephone etiquette. Administrators reminded the students that they will have “jobs like adults. We could not operate without our Corporate Work-Study Partners.”
In between the “first impression” classes and “business cases study” classes, students learned teamwork and how to overcome their shyness during friendly games of Family Feud.
Before all students start their corporate jobs (after Labor Day), they will be introduced to their office supervisors during CWSP orientation in late August.
