Road to Recovery

Our families are in the process of rebounding from the devastation of Hurricane Harvey after hundreds of staff and faculty members, students, parents, alumni, and volunteers mobilized to help clean out homes or find alternate housing for our families, deliver food, and collect and organize clothing and toiletries. Within 24 hours of the storm, CRJ staff and faculty members had reached out to each of our family members to be sure they were safe and to assess their needs.

To help our students adjust to life after Hurricane Harvey, morning assemblies were held so students could spend some time with their friends; class periods were shortened the first week back to school while lunch times were made longer; tacos were delivered one day; and students were treated to after-school snacks as we slowly go down the road to recovery.
