Learn, Serve, Lead and Succeed

We celebrate Catholic education year-round, but highlight its importance during Catholic Schools Week, January 26-February 1. We are proud that the Cristo Rey Jesuit community is a prime example of learning, serving, leading, and succeeding, which is the Catholic Schools Week theme this year.   The foundation of our Catholic education is our five-member Campus Ministry team, including two Jesuit priests, one of whom is our Chaplain and biology teacher, a dean of Campus Ministry, a retreat formation coordinator, and a coordinator for service and social Justice.

“I enjoy watching students discover how deeply God loves them, and how gifted and talented they are,” said Chaplain Fr. Randy Gibbens, S.J.

“I remind the students that they can find God in all things, and that they are loved by God and they were created for a purpose,” said Manny Barraza, Dean of Campus Ministry. “Our students bring light to my life.”
